What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice based on the principle that a therapist can support the flow of energy through the body by gentle touch or near-body hand positions. The word Reiki combines the Japanese words for universal energy (rei) and life energy (ki). Practitioners trained to Master level have completed the full scope of traditional Reiki training across all three levels.
Reiki is commonly sought for stress and anxiety relief, emotional balance, fatigue, chronic pain, and support during recovery from illness or injury. Sessions are non-invasive and fully clothed, and are well-tolerated by clients of all ages and health backgrounds.
At Phoenix Massage & Wellness, Reiki is offered by Abdul Khaliq Mohammed, a certified Reiki Master Practitioner trained through Sunshine Yoga Academy, Calgary.
